Hey, aren't they supposed to be only 38 occupations?
The list contains more than 50, what is wrong with this?

Just I copied the list as it was. However there are strange occupations which doesn't make sense for immigration purpose like Judge or Lawyers and Quebec Notaries, May be if you exclude them remaining will be 38.
May be it is a Hoax. Who knows!

Hi,

I was wondering about the Government Managers as well. As I believed that PR's are still prohibited from a lot of Government and security vetted positions until they ultimately become Full Citizens.

Part III contains all the Acts of Canada after they have received Royal Assent. Part III is published whenever sufficient Acts having received Royal Assent warrant publication.

I guess THE LIST does not belong to Part III. But I don't know whether it belongs to Part I or Part II. I don't know enough about the lingo to know if it's a statutory instrument or what the heck it is.

Anyway, the Hallelujah Chorus is playing in my mind just at the thought that THE LIST might be published soon. And I'm not being facetious either.

This wait has been bad enough for me, and I have no vested interest in it. I cannot imagine what it has been like for those of you who do.

It devoutly is to be hoped that your wait soon will be over.

I went to the Alberta info session in Leeds last night. I asked them about 'The List' and was advised that it would be issued sometime in the next 3 months! I certainly hope it doesn't take as long as that!

I wish it were that easy timu12, but the skilled worker route is, unfortunately, still the best route for some of us. The 'get a job' route is rather precarious when you are uprooting a family, current jobs, children in schooling etc. Things can't be done at short notice and need a timescale to work towards.

As you'll know things can go wrong with a TWP.

eventually Conservative Government will eliminate the FSW route as soon as they clear the backlog. they wont import anyone who couldnt fit into the Canadian labour market and they do treat potential skilled immigrants as economic unit. unless u r on the occupation list, otherwise u r not even given a chance to apply regardless your education and experience.
