Where to find info about Petrol Prices in HU
 

Hi All,

Does anyone know of a website that has current petrol prices in Hungary, specifically Budapest, per gallon, litre or both. Also, what is the tax per litre etc. I know you pay one price at the pump, but just wandered what the tax percentage is.

I think any information on price you receive today will be out of date tomorrow.
My small town has 3 stations all at slightly different prices which constantly fluctuate.

As with most EU countries the cost of fuel at motorway service stations is considerably higher, an average of 40 or 50 fts per litre in Hungary.

Large supermarkets usually offer lower prices, but be aware that the quality of these fuels can be lower than that at regular filling stations.

Thanks for the advice, duztee.

I noticed it is currently 359 Ft per litre (unleaded). Does that sound about right/average taking slight variations of minus or plus 10 Ft?

Also general price increases are announce one or two days early - often on Monday for Wednesday!

I'll have to ask my wife for the link.

In the West often prices are lower - but only when Austrian prices are low ...

What about prices in the East "on the other side of the border" - Serbia, Croatia, even Bulgaria?

The price for unleaded was 330.9 in Eger today, a drop of 7ft per litre overnight. Pretty much all of the petrol stations seem to work together and sell at the same price around here.
I have usually found prices to be quite a bit higher here than when I travel west.

Paul, my wife told me that she read yesterday on index.hu that the petrol price would be lowered today by 7 HUF - but forgot to tell me ...
