Where is everyone?
It's been so quiet ...... just wondering are you all still out there? ;)
At this point in time we're gearing up for two visitors from Hungary in June. Both are friends of my wife from years back. We have alot to do .... to tidy up our house and garden plus garage, etc. Don't want to show how slack we are ..... we're way behind with some painting and staining jobs which need to be done, plus our garage is chock a block with old wood well overdue to be taken to the rubbish tip ..... something we really need to do before we eventually move over to Hungary ... not forgetting the other stuff we really shouldn't bring over to Hungary in a few years time! Not forgetting the above .... my wife's sister has decided she wants to come to the UK for two weeks .... yes ... two weeks ... arrghhh! |
Re: Where is everyone?
I'm still here Fen, and I guess everybody else is too.
I think the lack of posts just indicates no one is having any problems at the moment, don't worry I am sure this will not last long! 2 weeks nice weather probably has everyone doing the same as you and 'spring cleaning' (Actually I am having problems trying to buy a motorbike, but I doubt anyone could solve the peculiar problem so didn't post) Now stop hiding behind the PC and get back to work! :-) |
Re: Where is everyone?
We've been in the garden last week planting new stuff and also put together garbage (metal, wood, mattresses and other large stuff) for the annual Lim-Lom (lomtalanitás) and now that it's so awfully cold we've retired to the living room for the last days - even put some wood in the fireplace.
Yes, it's quiet here, but no problem for me ... |
Re: Where is everyone?
Depressingly back in England for a week now after a 2 week renovating holiday in Zala how I miss being there. It gets harder to leave every time :(
Slight hijack Duztee what bike are you getting and where do you get spares, batteries, tires from online? I need a battery for my bike in Hungary for my next renovating holiday in June. |
Re: Where is everyone?
With myself having to leave Hungary time is drawing short to take care of all outstanding jobs Partka new place grass seeded all the area Grape vines cut back and tied up extending a bathroom extension but only 9m2 all external walls and roof fixed internal work to be done later
That's if yes if Lovasbereny is sold, again this week dropping price down lower. Two places and my health can not managed to maintain both Lovasbereny and Partka Have cleaned all the plot area there hopping when I return late June for 4 weeks before final departure to UK both places may just kneed some work before I leave for good this year in mid August sees digger47 |
Re: Where is everyone?
Nothing has changed for me, I still have no electricity but next week I am meeting Adrienn, an estate agent at the house and she will organise an electrician to also meet us there. With any luck I will get closer to having the electric problem resolved and the house on the market.

No, I'm hoping the electrician will be able to tell by inspection.

Re: Where is everyone?
I have bought a couple of inner tubes from that bike shop but he only stocks cheap, poor quality ones so it might be the same with batteries. The guy does speak a bit of English though.

Re: Where is everyone?
There is a good place for car tyres who may be able to do your bike tyre if you have the tyre and tube:
Kezdõlap If you get stuck I can help you with it but you might have wait until I'm in Hungary to cut grass etc. |

Re: Where is everyone?
We are moving to the Zala region in 2 weeks, I can't believe the time has finally arrived and we are so excited to be starting our new life in Hungary soon - just in time for the weather getting warmer too hopefully :)
