Tipping the Dustman?

Tipping the Dustman?
Dustbin men, sorry that's an old phrase!
In England it was normal to give a Christmas tip to the refuse collectors.
Anyone know the situation here?
I don't want to offend them, but then again I don't want to start a 'tradition' here either!

Well, I give ever one of them a can of beer and some chocolate - my wife says that's enough.

We don't give the binmen a 'Christmas box' and I don't know anyone who does.

Actually Wolfi my neighbour gives them beer in the summer, if this is a common practice I can see the bins at the end of the round getting slightly iffy treatment.

No idea what happens in Hungary but I wouldn't be surprised if any Hungarians did tip them occasionally just to get rid of some stuff!
