Snow Chains
 

I'm told in Bulgaria you must carry snow chains in your car from the start of November to the end of March. Is there any such regulation in Hungary?

No, not in this region anyhow. Rarely seen snow chains in use, winter tyres yes but not snow chains. To be honest, this winter you could have done without winter tyres. Apart from a couple of weeks before Xmas, it has been a very mild winter. Cold at times, yes, but little ice due to it being extremely dry. By the time you arrive, winter should have but been and gone - hopefully.
