Default No snow this Xmas/ New Year

The 30 day forecast says we'll not be snowed in https://www.idokep.hu/30napos

Sorry for the kids but happy for me

Might get some gardening done if it ends up as mild as that forecast says.

Surely the 'specialists' forecasting no snow means there's a very good chance that you'll be getting more than enough of the white stuff over the next 30 days!

We may or may not get snow for the holidays but we will get some record snowfalls this winter. The planet is entering a possible global cooling event like Maunder Minimum, at least according to scientist based upon solar sunspot activity being at a minimum.

I thought we were in a global warming event! That's what they were saying in Katowice!

Nothing that'll stay long on the ground, though. Up in the Pilis Hills we're often more than 2-3C colder than Budapest, so slightly more likely to see snow sticking around.

I guess it depends upon whether you listen to the man made global warming\ climate change crowd of scientist or those scientist who realize that the orbit of earth is elliptical and causes cooling and warming cycles in conjunction with solar activity caused by sunspots and coronal mass ejections. My money is on the latter, I do not remember scientist finding the dinosaurs with carbon emitting motor cars and lorries. Mans contribution to climate change is negligible IMHO.

I remember, some years ago, an "environmentalist" claiming that flying is so bad that 90% should be curtailed, forthwith. When asked about the other 10% he replied "well, of course, some of us have to fly".

The arrogance of that crowd never ceases to amaze me.

Looks like a couple of cms snow coming up on 15th-17th.

We keep the snow tyres on permanently now, got fed up with the change fee twice a year & don't drive enough in the warmer holidays to worry about excessive wear/ worse grip.

With all the chit chat on winter tyres being used in summer ie blow outs in hot weather etc etc I have had winter tyres on for 2 years with no problems ( lucky you some will think /say) no noticeable wear. I do not travel many miles maybe 5000/year but we have been to Croatia a few times but no driving trips to UK (never) flight and car hire. Not bothered about price of changing (peanuts) but when they wear out maybe in 2/3 years time I will probably change to all rounders. 2cms snow what ???? no probs. ) I live an uncomplicated life (whats left) its the way you view it, whey hey and no I'm not drunk .
