Today we saw the new licence plates on a car for the first time - it was something like
AA BB 123

I have seen 2 vehicles so far with the new format Hungarian plates in the Kaposvar Pecs areas. Look very much like the tags from Germany.

Funnily enough I saw 2 of these,within a couple of days, a few weeks ago. Didn't know their significance, assumed maybe they were "special" people!

Our young ones are saying they see more of them in Budapest - some people have to show off their new big luxury cars.
her gypsies drive luxury cars too - but really old ones.
Yesterday we even saw a Bentley, really old model, but V10 or V12 engine - no licence plates yet. I wonder how they got this car ...

If no licence plates plate won't be able to fill up with the capped price! Unless they transfer petrol from another car.

I see quite a few every day in and around Eger. There are quite a lot of commercial vehicles with the new plates too

Something that I hadn't previously considered....it's not only brand new vehicles that get the new style number plates but any vehicle newly registered in Hungary.
I've just seen a 36 year old motorbike advertised for sale with the new plates.
