Muszaki Sticker

Muszaki Sticker
I just noticed the MoT (muszaki) yellow sticker has gone missing from my car rear number plate. Is the car still legal to drive without that sticker? I carry the registration document in the car and that says the muszaki is due in March 2019.

I'm now told they no longer use the sticker system so I suppose they peeled off the old one and didn't replace it at the last MoT which was in March.

Re: Muszaki Sticker
Once upon a time..........there were 2 stickers on the rear number plate, one for the MOT (biannual) and one for the emissions test (annual). Then THEY moved the emissions test to within the MOT (which made it biannual) but kept the 2 stickers and a couple of years ago THEY scrapped the stickers because all the data is on-line and the Plod know all the relevant data about your car by the time you have rolled to a stop.

I was also told by "an official" that ID cards with all information needed will be produced in the near future ?? including "residents" of Hungary, which will be great. We shall see.

Your MoT details are now held online same as Insurance details.
So now Number Plate recognition cameras will flag you up instantly if your documents or test has expired.
Like wise the police can check all your detail in very short order.
Yes the Test station remove the old sticker.
