Default Internet Service Providers

I wanted to put this in a new thread but I can't see that option. Is it because I am very new and have to have 3 posts to do that too? Or I am just completely blind? Hopefully Rural will place this post where it belongs.

As I haven't lived in Hungary for quite some time and even when I did, I lived in a different area, I don't know what options are open to us for internet in Balatonfenyves. Could you suggest companies you are satisfied with, please? That would really help us out.

Thank you to all.

Hi Ria, if you go to the home page of the Hungary forum here

Just above the first thread, in a small blue box, it should say "new thread" any problems finding it just give me a shout and I'll help further.

I think T-Home is the most common provider and you should have no poroblem whatsoever obtaining broadband in Balatonfenyeves. A list of the available packages can be found here There are other providers, amongst them Digitel and various wireless providers. However, most people we know use T-Home and I have yet to hear a complaint about them and the service has been excellent. For example, our router fried in a storm a couple of weeks ago and our phoneline went down. We phoned them on the Sunday to report it and the engineers arrived on the Monday, fixed the line, provided a new router, set everything up again and there was no charge. I honestly expected to be told off for not having a surge protector but it wasn't mentioned and the engineers couldn't have been more friendly or helpful.
Hope this helps.

You're more than welcome, anything else you need to know just ask and someone is sure to be able to advise you.

I'm off out for now as it's over 30 today, sun is shining, no clouds so a trip to Zalakaros is called for I think

Hello again Hotpot

Thanks for that, it does seem like they please their customers so I won't even search for other companies, this will do us.
