Hungary potentially leaving the EU...where do we stand?
Just read (via translate) an article stating that Orbán Viktor is heading to Brussels next week to discuss Hungary leaving the EU. It also stated that he will notify this intention in late April.
If this goes ahead then that may well make our positions here even more precarious than the Brexit situation.
Az Unióból való kilépés szándékát is bejelentheti Orbán április végén – Külföldi Apró

That is not the translation!
The true story is that Orban is trying to close down the CEU university, owned by a very rich american who Orban does not like. He is also claiming Brussels is interferring too much with Hungary laws. It was other EU members that suggested Orban (Hungary) leave the EU if Orban (Hungary) is always against/attacking the EU and the way it runs itself.
Hungary though (Hungarian citizens) do not want and would not want to leave the EU (they would have Orban out of power first).
The EU will debate with Hungary on April 26th about the Uni and why Hungary is having yet another national consultation; in this case to stop Brussels stopping Orban from lowering the country's utility bills. When in reality this has nothing to do with the EU. Orban is more than likely using the EU money to lower the utility bills or pay the utiliity companies in some way, which the EU is against, when he should be asking the utility companies to lower the bills anyway. In other words, the EU are getting tired of Orban's games.
As a side note: I have only saved 25 pounds over 3 years on my Heating bill. So the bills have been lowered, but not by that much!!!

If I remember correctly Orban (& Cameron) were opposed to Junckers appointment...
