We get all our bills sent to bro-in-law in Hungary, so forwarding bills to somebody else is definitely easy enough. You just need a friend who will send them on to you.

Or better still, you give him money & he pays them on your behalf or tells you how much to transfer bank to bank etc.

Ta mate!

Yeah so they want a Hungarian address to send their stuff so I dunno.

Eon and foegaz have cool apps so no worries there.

We pay water by direct debit from Hungarian bank account so don’t need to react to bills.

You don't get the benefit of choosing to pay in £s or HUF that way! But yes, takes away the worry, I guess.

We pay quite a lot on Amex to get the points, I'd say anything over £1 = HUF 340 & I'd rather pay in £s and get my points - on Gold Amex you get 2 points per £ spent abroad so it largely mitigates the 2.99% fee. Each point is worth whatever you can get for them, I redeem on BA flights and always get over 1.5p worth.
