Default Gardener

Hi,
Does anyone know or use a gardener, I must get one sorted asap. Our house is in the SW near Marcali, the actual village is Somogyszentpal. I was put in touch with an English guy out there, but he must have thought that he was still in the UK the rates that he wanted to charge. I would prefer to use a local and put some money back into the local economy. Can anyone help?
Regards Andy

We opted not to pay a professional gardener, and by word of mouth we managed to find someone who the builder knew. He is the son of the local shop owner. With employmnet scarce, particulary for younger folk, perhaps it would be worth asking in your local shop or post office if one of their childrem would like a part time job. Check that their trustworthy though.

Chap we know isn't "professional" but does some gardening for expats in the evenings and weekends. He has a family and is paid the usual dismal Hungarian wage so the gardening helps make a bit extra - we don't make anything from it, just help him out if we hear of anybody needing gardener.

Default Gardener in Keszthely, Dias, Vonyarc area

Hope this doesn't count as hijacking or similar!

Also, or rather still, looking for a gardener to do maintenance work when we are not at the property i.e. to keep the grass legal & short.

Please PM me, thanks!
