can anyone tell me what is the Average electricity and gas prices per month in Hungary?

the domestic electricity price is about 42 huf / kwh This will depend upon how much you use as there is a cheaper rate fro the first amount used and then the price rises. This amount is based on my last months bill and includes taxes.

There are other rates that are cheaper - night rate about 22 huf / kwh I believe and a winter heating rate limited to the heating season and only for storage heaters and heat pumps that is about the same as the night rate but available 24/7 during the heating season.

The prices above are for domestic use. Non-domestic use is higher as it does not get the government price cap enjoyed by the domestic users.

The price of domestic gas is I believe (I don't have gas) about 1/3 the price of domestic electricity.

Domestic users in Hungary do not have the option of choosing / swapping suppliers as in the UK.

Predications in Oct new price hike 45.25p per k/w & 45.35 S/C per day.
