I think it more a case of living in the Hungarian equivalent of Bournemouth, large percentage of oldies here to get done, or perhaps my GP is just standard Hungarian 'we'll get around to it sometime soon'. - But he always gives me a sweetie from the kiddy jar
so nice guy.

FT - I don't know if you have resolved your TAJ card but I have just seen that the Government intends to start offering the vaccine to foreigners (ie those without TAJ cards) from next week.

Sorry, just remembered that the Govt is now offering the jab to those without TAJ cards, so disregard previous!

Coronavirus-related restrictions will “certainly remain in place” for Hungarians without immunity certificates until August, the prime minister’s chief of staff told a weekly press briefing on Thursday.

Had second jab about 4 weeks ago, no card received yet. I contacted a woman who is part of the Mayors office who supervised the second jab meeting and she replied immune cert will be sent by Posta, still waiting.

If they didn’t take your passport number then you will need to go to your local government office to sort it out. They need to update your details on the Government portal and then you need to complete a form which they will send off. My husband had his vaccination two weeks ago and he took his passport with him. They took all his details and his card arrived with his passport number on it and the other Hungarian ID number left blank. I had my vaccination in March and did not take my passport and did not receive the card so Monday I went to local government office. There were also lots of Hungarians there trying to sort out their details as well so it isn’t just foreigners. I think you can go without an appointment.
