Coop
How do you pronounce Coop?
My Hungarian wife prounces it as 'Co-op' as in Uk.
I've always prounced it as 'Coop' (koop).
But should it be 'choop'?

Re: Coop
For example (pun intended!) "Például" is pronounced "pell da ool" (sorry, don't know the correct phonetics) as apposed to the English, who would probably say, "pel dawl".
Definitely not "choop" as that would have to be spelt "csoop".

I asked Gabor how Hungarians pronounce Co-op. According to him it's pronounced "cope" as in "I can't cope any longer"

In UK I pronounced bath and grass as they are spelt but some pronounce them as "barth" and "grarse"!
It'll be a massive coup if we get to the bottom of how coop is pronounced.

You wouldn't think 3 / 4 letters could produce so many combos!
