Default Climate change in Hungary

The year 2022 was the third hottest year in Hungary since 1901, with several months at least 2 degrees warmer than average, the National Meteorological Service writes in its analysis of last year’s weather on its website.
The two hottest were 2019 & 2018.

Will this winter set another record?

It's not been as cold as previous winters. This is our third winter here. Who knows what the next few months will be like.
My snow boats haven't been unpacked yet!

We have been here in Hungary 5 years, every year since the 1st one has been relatively mild compared to the winter of 2018. I think that the climate has changed but not very much.

I've lived in Hungary since 2007, nearly 16 years. At one time you could count on having snow for Christmas every year. In (I think) 2010 we had snow a metre deep and I wasn't able to get my car out of the garage for just over a month. In those days before it was possible to order online, I always made sure I had a good stock of food in the house. Summers I seem to rememberwere equally as hot as they were last year, but the big difference was that we got a few cooler days in between.

We've been here since 1995 and as Sachina said - snow in the winter and sun in the summer. For us hay making was predictable and easy, lately it has been fraught with unpredictable weather with rain and hail then weeks of drought which made getting enough winter feed for the cows v. difficult.

It is difficult to point to climate change based on 5 -10 years but certainly the trend is towards the predicted change.
