Buying weedkiller
Hi everyone,
Are there any restrictions to buying weedkiller in Hungary? I notice that it is all padlocked up in a cupboard in obi.

Re: Buying weedkiller
We bought Glyphosate (Roundup) at an agriculture shop (mezögazdaság bolt) in liter bottles (one was for my brother in law in Germany) without any problems ...
Btw, since the patent ran out you get it from different companies very cheap.
We use it sparingly, however!
Last year we had a very obnoxious plant which I got rid off by brushing some leaves with the stuff (mixed with 10 times water).

Re: Buying weedkiller
I bought Roundup in Austria last year and it was kept in a locked cabinet there, too, but the only restriction (for members of the public as opposed to farmers) was the limit of 250 ml per sale. The limit was previously one litre. (So I was told, at any rate.)
I'm not a fan of brute-force chemicals but an established staghorn sumac is a real challenge.
