Budapest Private English
Hi Guys, Wondering if it were possible to teach private English lessons to locals in Budapest, for a bite of extra cash?
I will have a 2 bed apartment, VII, and living off Divi,s totaling 800 squid a month, a somewhat basic lifestyle, but a happy one. I will also be making (if i can find a lost wax caster), a few pieces of jewellery to sell via the net....If I could pick up some extra lessons, that would be good...

I would say it would depend on your qualifications, both written and verbal. What sort of standard are you expecting to teach up to?

I dont have any formal teaching quals, but have lectured Engineering at Uni, have solid engineering degrees, and whilst at Nagoya Uni in Japan, had a little side line going of re writing students research papers, sounds easy, but a nightmare.
I just need to make a little extra cash, I could survive on 800, but...a little extra is always nice...also had an idea, of personnel boxing training in the local parks of a morning, ill bring the focus pads and gloves, one on one, 4 or 5 clients a week, one hour every morning, it may work

Be aware that if you get caught there are BIG fines to pay. Everyone tries to dodge the tax here but it's a game of cat and mouse and if you take on the wrong student or someone doesn't like you and reports you, you can end up with a fine MUCH larger than the money you made.
