Recent photographs from the garden.
Pyracantha hedging
Oak trees, unfortunately, I was unable to find any with a fuller crown but at least they have some height already.
Rustic BBQ furniture
Next year I hope to add a couple more Magnolia trees and a few Linden trees plus a few rose bushes.
New house for the dogs

I like the garden furniture and dog kennel. We've postponed our search for a wooden table and chairs until next year. The dogs are in urgent need of a kennel because when we leave then outside they stay near the gate. If it's raining they park themselves underneath the balcony but currently got some junk there so they can't do that.

I had a couple friends build the 2 dog houses. I have the one in the photo in the back garden and an identical one up in the front garden. They just lack a 2nd coat of paint and the installation of electric heating and a plastic curtain to go over the entrance. Should get that all done by the end of the month.

Be very careful about leaving the dogs in the garden whilst you're out. There have been several dogs stolen from their gardens just recently. The neighbour of a friend of mine actually saw a car draw up at her house and someone get out and take her dog from her garden. Another of her neighbours had 3 dogs stolen whilst she was out shopping.

Dog thieves would stand no chance with our dogs. As much as Archie looks so cute as a chocolate brown sprocker he's very territorial. It would take an idiotic fool to think of stealing him! He'd crush right down to the bone anyone who touches him. He'd not let a stranger to get close to him. As to Milli, our GSD, she's still young but God forbid what she'd become if her partner, Archie, in crime, got taken from her!

Several properties in our village have pit bulls or very aggressive dogs. I'd be more worried about them than our own dogs.

It's a difficult situation with dogs in the Hungarian villages. Many of them go crazy when someone comes by - famous is the story of the postman whose current position you can deduce from the dogs' noise.
Though we have a saying in German:
Hunde die bellen beißen nicht.
Dogs who bark don't bite.
But I wouldn't be so sure.
OT:
This brings back memories of our lovely Alexa (German/Belgian shepherd mix) who at 16 years went over the rainbow bridge. She was so friendly, when she saw children she would fetch her frisbee and lay it at their feet to get to fetch it. When we walked through the village she would look at the barking dogs: What's wrong with you?
A few of our neighbours' dogs however would come up to her, wagging their tail like she did.
Fond memories!
