Default any restrictions on bonfires?

I have a lot of stuff to burn - so just checking. I think that Austria, for example has restrictions such as no bonfires on Sundays.

Are there any restrictions in Hungary?

Yes
There will be designated times/days for bonfires which will vary from place to place, also in dry weather there will be bans. It is best to ask at the local council

Thanks Peter. Our house is in Heves county - does anyone happen to know the local restrictions?

I think it is down to individual villages to specify times rather than a county wide standard.

In our town is is not permitted now until September (at least I think this is what the newsletter said). This seems about right bearing in mind the dry weather and subsequent storms.
