One of our local officers is famous for stopping and fining his own mother!
Now that is dedication to duty :)

Here in the UK I make every attempt not to break the speed limit no matter what the urgency ... because at the end of the day ... it's not worth the hassle .... numerous times .... I've seen drivers over take me ..... and I've caught them up at the next traffic lights or junction turn off ...... as to Hungary .... well I've yet to experience it so maybe I shouldn't blow my trumpet too much!

She probably made him pay it before he popped round for supper!

It's 24 C in UK (Orpington, Kent). I'm only home because one of our dogs had to be rushed to the vets. Wife couldn't take the dog because she had to do sign language exams for her students! Not sure if my boss is happy I left work because I actually went into work. Hoped to have one the vets who is Hungarian but he wasn't available this morning so had a ... I think ... South African .... but he was fine ..... sorry for the non-Hungary waffling on!

There are general second hand shops which deal in just about anything.

Just an 'ahem' tip! When driving through Austria...make sure your vignette is attached to the window 'properly' or you will get fined...just as you leave the country.....regardless if you have bought a ticket or not. 120 euro if you pay there and then...340 euro if you pay later. Nice guys those Austrian policemen....some of them even sleep at night :frown:

I'm can't help out directly however if there is one around then the people here http://szoloszemfarm.hu/ should be able to tell you, there website is only in Hungarian. But it is only a 10-15 minute drive from Tiszafured in the next town south (Tiszaszőlős), it's a fairly impressive set up and you can do quad biking, jeep trails, horse riding etc and it has a nice outdoor pool, although it is not thermal.

There is a map below the gallery on this page, go there for dinner if you are in Fured or a soak in the pool and ask them, there are usually a couple of people around that speak English :)

cheers for the link we found it today purley by accident sat nav took us down a concrete road only to end up as a 2ft jump onto mud road fortunately was going slow and have good brakes

anyway as you say impressive set up one thing I have noticed with this and others is the lack of signs to a place its almost like field of dreams "if you build it they will come" or drive right past it!

I do know a chap who drives from near me to Manchester in about 20 hours!

I agree start out early, book mid-day Eurotunnel drive until tired[usually Germany]have a good sleep, arrive in hungary next day, easy, log quickest route into sat.nav.and consentrate on driving on the wrong side of the road.
