The 18 month old girl is the Grand-daughter of a friend of both my wife and myself.

Apparently, the three dogs belonged to the other side of the family, i.e. girl's father's mother. What we have been told is that the girl tried to give one of the dogs a hug but it bit her on the head. The girl had puncture marks on her face and also head. One tooth belonging to the dog got stuck in the girl's head. I am not sure if the girl had a damaged cheek-bone and needed a metal plate inserted or skin graft.

I believe this was on the news about a week or more ago.

So sorry to hear this Fen and I hope she fully recovers though the psychological damage will take a long time to get over.

Last I heard the grand-daughter and mother were still living at the same address as the grand-mother (owner of the dogs) despite the fact our friend offered his daughter to stay at his flat in Miskolc.

We haven't spoken to our friend yet.
