Weekly Currency Update GBP/CAD - Week ending 23rd July 2010
As promised here’s a brief update on what’s been happening with the Canadian Dollar over the last week.
Canada’s headline CPI numbers for June came in slightly lower than expectations. Markets had been looking for no movement month on month but prices fell off -0.1%. Apart from the volatility of lower gas prices, the core numbers were brought down by drops in food and clothing prices.
GBP/CAD movement – High’s & Low’s of last week 19th July – 23rd July
High’s: 1.6190
Low's: 1.5796
A movement of 2.49%
Difference on £200,000
High: CAD 323,800
Low: CAD 315,920
Difference of: CAD 7,800
Whilst FX isn't the most thrilling of subjects, the sooner you begin to think about your money transfers, the more likely you are to make your money go further.
