Default Weekly Currency Update GBP/AUD - Week ending 25th June

Hi All,

As promised here’s a brief update on what’s been happening with the Australian Dollar over the last week.

Last week started on a wave of optimism (in currency and equity markets) over the potential boost to global trade with an imminent Chinese Yuan revaluation but sentiment was gradually undermined by worries over the sustainability of US growth and a brewing disagreement among G20 countries on the immediate course of fiscal intervention. The sacking of Kevin Rudd provided only the slightest relief and momentum was soon over-run by wider international concerns.

GBP/AUD movement – High’s & Low’s of last week 21st June –25th June
High’s: 1.73333
Low's: 1.67441

A movement of 3.52%

Difference on £200,000
High: AUD 346,666
Low: AUD 334,882

Difference of: AUD 11,784

Whilst FX isn't the most thrilling of subjects, the sooner you begin to think about your money transfers, the more likely you are to make your money go further.

Regards
