Default GBP/EUR Weekly Currency Update - Week ending 13th November

Hi All,

Here’s an update on what’s been happening with the Euro over the last week.

British house prices jumped in October (RICS) & retail sales notch up their best October in 7-years (BRC).

Claims for unemployment benefit rose in October by the smallest amount in 18 months (12.9k), while the number of people in work climbed for the first time in over a year & the jobless rate eased to 7.8%

Sterling fell broadly on Wednesday after Mervyn King said the BoE was open-minded about pumping more money into the UK economy and highlighted the benefits of a weaker Pound.

GBP/EUR movement – High’s & Low’s of last week (09/11/09 - 13/11/09)

High’s: 1.1239
Low’s: 1.1030

A movement of: 1.89%

Difference on £200k

High: €224,780
Low: €220,600

Difference of: €4,180

Whilst FX isn't the most thrilling of subjects, the sooner you begin to think about your money transfers, the more likely you are to make your money go further.

A further update will be added next week.

Regards
