Your thoughts for Enfield.

Just had a very distressing email from Enfield. His son and girl friend were badly injured in the Bangkok Disco fire. He is on a ventilator and has 30% burns. Enfield and his wife are now in Thailand. I know you will all join me in wishing everybody involved in this fire a speedy recovery.

Our thoughts and love are with you Enfield.

To think that we were all worrying about Goa, and then this happens to one of our friends when we think all is safe. Have just seen the photo's and read the story on Daily Mail on line.

I am so very sorry to hear that - it puts our silly legal quibbling with the Goan authorities into a true perspective. My deeply felt condolances to Enfield and his family.

Noni text us today with this sad news - we have not been on line due to bad connection for a few days so have had to "borrow" this line from a friend.

enfield - our thoughts and prayers are with you and your sons girlfriends family at this sad time. We will all come together and hope for their good recovery.

We were talking today and said how good it was that we all went to bed safe and sound after NY Eve here in Goa when we were maybe expecting the worst and were thankful it did not happen - probably like enfield - and then to get up to that news. It is unthinkable. Let us hope their children will make a good recovery.

I have not been on the site for a week for obvious reasons.
Thanks ever so much for your good wishes and thoughts,it really means a lot to us all.
Oliver continues to be semi-conscious in ICU on a ventilator. The Doctors summation is positive ,but he stresses it will be a long road.Currently we can only observe him through the window because of the risk of infection.
Hopefully things will gradually improve.
Because of all the good luck messages we are getting I have set an e-mail address so that he can see the depth of feeling he has engendered when he is able to access it.
If you want to send him a message it is [email protected]

Thanks once more, particularly to Noni for being so caring

Re: Your thoughts for Enfield.

I am in Goa at the moment and I have just received a call from a close friend.

She has spoken to Enfield's wife this morning and unfortunately he did not survive the heart attack and died on Thursday or Friday, he did wake up.

Oliver remains seriously ill. His brother who had just arrived back in the UK has flown back to Bangkok to be with his mother.

I am sorry to have to be the bearer of such bad news and I know our thoughs are with his family.
