The Goans who started off giving us excellent service quality and prices of their goods - now they have got really greedy with the prices over the last few years going through the roof.

e.g. making chair covers OH! madam the material has gone up - go to Mapsa and you will find that they are putting 200% + onto the price of the material before the making. The carpenters!!!!. Electricians!!

They are the ones that are loosing out, and are now laying off their workers just because of greed.

This year they are going to find it harder again to get business.

yes noni,is just come to my mind,when i contracted a carpenter to make a bed form me,then i asked him if he knows a bricklayer,he said:i can do it,unfortunately,the job was a mess,so we had to call someone else,to do it properly.i don´t know why on earth,for the money,they can even build a boat.:curse:

:curse: Indians who you befriend, help and trust then they rip you off :curse:
be it Advocates, Estate Agents, Property Developers, shops, taxi drivers.


Mosquitos you can squash and spray. :curse:

All the usual things i.e Power Cuts,Lack of H2O,Stray dogs,Lack of adequate Garbage Disposal Systems,and proliferation of Garbage in general ,Bad Driving, bad parking,lack of pavements and level walking surfaces,lack of drainage,obnoxious smells,corruption,etc.
More than balanced out by lovely weather, generally lovely people,good prices,great food,laid back lifestyle, and, in short we love it !!!
Back in 13 days,can't wait !!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Stray dogs, cows - the one with PMT in Candolim, pavements, awful pongs
Bags started to be packed, can't wait to get back.
Missing you Enfield by a few days - would have recognized you anywhere! :sneaky:
