Many just want to take their money and leave. Stress is too much.

This is a point, but there are so many who have looked at this route only to be put in a position of great loss, whether by unscrupulous builders demanding outrageous sums of money, or by offering less than the initial outlay, and for those people who have the deeds, they are facing the impossible right now. We are all afraid, stressed, worried, disappointed nand distressed, me as well.

This is why we all need to add to the poll, and send the anonymous accounts of our experiences to Lewis. If you are feeling worried about doing this - PLEASE pm him and he will explain all to you. You have nothing to fear in giving your support to this, but you may find that you have everything to gain.

We are all in trouble here, and the longer we sit and do nothing because of fear, cynicism, doubt etc, the more the Goan Govt can treat us in this way, and get away with it. We need to join together as one. Don't be afraid of this poll - there is no need.

ABSOLUTELY NONI
What this poll and the gathering of anonymous experiences of people having property grief in Goa has the potential to do is soemthing taht can really help us to take on the issues.
For all of you who are reticent, whether on this site or coming through on links from other sites, please step forward in this. It is essential to keep the full details off the open site as stealth and planning is the key. But if you want to know more, pm Lewis .

While this is fantastic news with the meeting next week on the 22nd October and everybody is rallying the troops together, make sure that you get them to sign-up with British Expats, register their votes and tell us their story too!

All hands to the pump!;)

Some of your stories are quite horrifying and there is a genuine fear emerging, I can only sympathise with the harrowing experiences that we are all going through! This is why it is incumbent on all of you to tell us your experience in buying property in Goa, so we can fight this as a team! Please feel free to PM me and share your story with us...

I totally agree Lewis. As individuals, we are fighting a system of criminality and corruption, where the Goan parties involved such as lawyers, builders and politicians stand together. Every one of us has elements of fear, stress, cynicism etc, but those committing these atrocities rely on these factors, which if allowed to fester, make us all more vulnerable.
We ALL need to gather and stand together. That is when our numbers are bigger and there is power on our side. By coming together on this, we will be less afraid and lose that vulnerability we all share.
There is no reason for anyone to feel afraid of what Lewis is doing here, however you may all have a lot to gain.

Noni, I am quite happy to give my story and add my name to it, but if as you say "the guy is genuine" then maybe he will tell us a bit more about himself,eg, what is his situation in Goa, does he own property, does he work here.

We are in this mess because we trusted people and now we are being asked to trust someone who we dont know anything about. Maybe I am too cynical having lived here for a long time.
