posting stuff home

hi, has anyone posted ciggies from goa to the uk and if so did you have to declare and fill out a customs form and did the person you sent them too have to pay duty?
i was thinking of sending 1 carton a week home instead of risking trying to get 30 cartons through customs in my suitcase.

Hardly worth the risk, you'll be lucky to get them out of India, without them being filched.Your choice of course.

Happy Posting

Just returned from a month in Goa and managed to bring 2800 fags back. All in suitcases apart from 3 boxes bought at Dabolim airport. (Which amazingly were cheaper than in the shops). Was a risk but customs never stopped us. there never seems to be anyone around at customs at Gatwick.

i managed to get in 36 cartons from budapest to heathrow but that was through eu channel, i'd be gutted to lose so many coming in from goa, the price difference is paying for my hols.

Packets for the UK now need to be wrapped in white cloth and have your return address and two xerox copies of your passport attached!
