Just arrived back, minus one case.

Will definitely give Wok & Roll a try this week,

thanks Jill - good to be back - now getting accustomed to the heat after a pretty dreary summer in London, apart from the Olympics.

Went to Wok and Roll last night, and the food is brilliant and so fresh. Didn't mind waiting for it, as that is a sure sign of it being freshly cooked & not reheated.

Enormous menu to choose from.

The fried ice cream was delicious!!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Sounds like a place for us all to have a meal together one night.

As you all know this month you see all the nice new menus, with the new prices. This I understand as things go up the same as anywhere.
The new menu at Riverside has not gone up, still rs 70 on the bone, rs 80 off. YUM.

We have had some great meals in Candolim during the past four weeks and as yet, only had one bad experience.

Top of the list is Palmland, a new kid on the block, once called the Blues Bar opposite Whispering Palms. Served hot, quality and good quantity food, attentive staff and fairly priced. Steak, chips onions and mushrooms, plus a veg dopiaza large steam rice and nam bread with Kingfisher beer and a diet coke 550 rupies.

Worst deal has been Ocean Beach on the Beach Road, 60/- for a small warm Kingfisher beer no large was available, poor attentive staff and much higher prices. ( they did have a magician though ) We never got to try the food. Last year this was one of the best.
The old staff and menu from Ocean Beach last year have now moved to 21 Coconut two resturants further down and a big improvement there, this may also be worth a visit.
Happy eating:D:D

An ad in TOI today for Aah Goa! sunday buffet.

999rps for a couple,699rps for a single and 349rps for children.
Free welcome drink included.

They are advertising the boat ride but there is a sneaky little asterisk beside it and below it says charges apply.

I really don`t see why they have to charge so much extra for a single person.
I certainly won`t be going at those prices.

They're not cheap but they are good, and location location location, maybe they include quail, rabbit, duck and their other specialities for that price.

Last time I went to Sun Village it was 800/- per adult for the buffet (good selection and plenty of it) and as much of the local drinks as you want (imported drinks are charged on top) and some good entertainment. This was some time ago so It could have gone up and much as I tried I could never eat or drink enough to make it good value but some people could.
