Imported cheeses are available in North Goa but frozen and expensive.
I always bring back Goats cheese and seriously strong cheddar(freeze into very small portions) and ration myself. A small piece of seriously strong cheddar grated with local crap cheddar tastes great. The other thing I bring is smoked salmon and freeze in small portions. Can manage without bacon and sausages personally.

If anyone knows where to get Strong/Extra Mature Cheddar in North Goa (at prices that are not going to break the bank :D) I'd be very interested to know where.

Besides cheese, marmite and the other usual stuff that most Brits seem to carry back here for a wee taste of home, would you believe that we've also travelled back with a cooler filled with frozen Kerrygold butter :D . Travelled perfectly... was packed in a Lock & Lock box and then into the cooler bag. Was still frozen except for the edges which though soft were not melted AND we travelled via Mumbai.... who would have believed it! I'm saving our last packet as a Christmas surprise for my husband hehehe.
