hi jonny 5, we had to laugh, we are in assagoa rather than siolim and its known as the church market in the bit of siolim where we are just a few minutes from. we scanned the docs we have but it didnt register.

no we are not there at the moment, we were there for three hectic weeks and were in after the first week, i couldnt stand another night on the woodchip mattress we were sleeping on.

we did have the hottest day for 18 years, but i didnt even know it until afterwards.

must catch up with you next time were are there, hopefully october, you sound like you are keeping you chin up.

Wow, I knew Assagao started somewhere on the "back hill", coz a few years ago Ingo tried to shift his bloody market to the top of your hill would you believe? And in the papers it was always described as Assagao.
Yes the whole of the land that bazaar (market) is on belongs to the Church, as does the community centre and the football ground! The whole area is called Igrez Vaddo, Church Ward.
We will be here in October, (as well as June, July, August and September) but Nov/Dec could very well see us off to the Philippines for a serious recce.
Gettin seriously 'kin hot now nights especially, so glad of our mobile A/C brought back from Bombay on the train a couple of weeks back.
Yes, lets try to meet up in October, we cant be more than a few hundred yards as the crow flies...............

Hi All,

As some of you know my OH has banned me for health reasons ofF BeXpats and anything else to do with Zimbabwe on sea (Thank You Goa for having such a negative effect on my life !:curse:
But I feel I must sneek one in from time to time if I have managed to sleep the previous night ( Thank you Goa !)

I have written an update to my high profile MP(previously contacted last year) and waiting their reply..
Does or would any body care to manage a list of MPs,Lords, media etc that we are ALL ( I Hope ) making representations to ?
I think a managed list of contacts made would be of use to us if kept in safe hands

hi how will we do that? if you are passing leave your number/address with the security guard and ask him to post it under our door. or something like that?? i have heard a number of people say they are looking elsewhere, prob is that our love affair with goa is only about 4 years old so we are way behind you. im confident that when they sort the problem people out things will get better. despite being on the hill we are getting aircon just in case it suddenly turns humid as there is no point in spoiling the ship for a heppence of tar or whatever the expression is.

You can PM me on here nearer the time? Then we can exchange numbers etc?
No point doing it now as all the phone companies are playing silly buggers and cancelling "unused" numbers etc.

No problem.

Easy way...........click on persons name on one of their posts. A list of choices appears, one of them is send a PM. Click on it and a box appears to type your message in. Don't put anything rude or your pooter will explode.
If you want to try it out, send one to me and I will pm back to say it has arrived safely and legibly?

OOps Phil and I were typing at same time........anyway, now you have two versions

Answer from other thread - you won't be hearing from the D of E if you have not Registered your Deeds. You are (sort of) one of the lucky ones, as with an honest builder he will (at a price) have the Sale Agreement put back into his name and you can eventually sell to an INDIAN. Have heard some charging 2lacs up to 10Lacs!

(From 17/March)

I have written an update to my high profile MP(previously contacted last year) and waiting their reply..
Does or would any body care to manage a list of MPs,Lords, media etc that we are ALL ( I Hope ) making representations to ?
I think a managed list of contacts made would be of use to us if kept in safe hands

Has anyone had any joy from the press etc ?:fingerscrossed:

I thought the excellent MARTIN LEWIS column( AS BELOW) may be a different vehicle to gain some more much needed exposure, any thoughts/updates ?
