90 Day Rule
Hi again, Just received an email from a friend in Benaulim, I have reproduced part of it here. But I just wanted to ask if anyone can confirm tourist visas being stamped with this 90 day rule.
"but yes it's true and I have seen the visa's with my own eyes it's stamped that on any tourist visa's that you may stay no longer than 90 day's and you must stay out of the country for two months when you leave". Regards DJ |

Re: 90 Day Rule
Talking to a lady yesterday in Mumbai airport and she applied for a 6 month visa last month and she was given a 3 month one and they kept the difference in money, as usual.
Was talking about it with our local shopkeeper this morning - he knew nothing about the 2 month ruling and when we told him this 90 day rule MAY be coming in his reply was "what are these f***ers trying to do - ruin me, lots of my customers are people who come for the winter" To say he was angry would be an understatement. |

Re: 90 Day Rule
I believe the visa rules for Goa or rest of India will go through further changes. They have new tourist visa norms for entire India which is still being debated and protested. So expect some more changes soon.

Regards DJ As i understand it anywhere other than country of origin will only issue 90 day visa! Wonder what visa the Portugese had when they arrived in 1510, and did they do their 183 days before grabbing land? |

Home Minister Chidamberam was quoted a few weeks ago as saying that all visa rules worldwide were being re-written and would be issued in March.
