Hello,
Long time since I was on this forum! I lived in Austria for a few years, had to return to Uk for family reasons and so missed the B****y Brexit deadline.so I can't just slip back in as a pre deadline resident.
Not only that but there is no Austria forum so I have to ask my questions here.
Are there any UK pensioners on here who have moved to Germany this year - if so I would love to ask some questions.
Thanks

I suppose the OP has lost the right to live in Austria and is also looking at Germany as an alternative. In any case the process is the same and as a third national and you will need to apply for a Visa https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/en/e...node#content_1
Germany doesn't even have a specific retirement visa, so it seems the Work Visa is the only option.

- in case that you are 45 years or older when starting work in Germany: proof of adequate pensions (either a minimum gross salary of 3,795.-- € monthly or 45,540.-- € per year or other proof)

I'd check the above German link, as well as the corresponding Austrian one:

I hope it's not too late, but much of the 'noise' about Article 50 visas are taking place on the British in Europe fora for various countries. Bearing in mind that for most countries, applications have to be made by tomorrow, I hope the moderators will find it acceptable for me to post a link?

If you maintained a residence there, I hope you still qualify - good luck!
