Hello

A bit of a long shot. But, trying to track down my father, John Andrew Wills. Ex HMF REME late 60s early 70s. Seems he lived/lives in/around Munster/Germany after he left the army.

Grateful for any info

Andy Wills

You can contact the Einwohnermeldeamt/ Bürgerservice in Münster. I assume that is the city you are talking about?Everybody in Germany should be registered. If you are lucky he is registered there. You probably need to ask the Bürgerservice what they need from you in order to check the register. The email address is

buergerbuero-mitte(at)stadt-muenster.de

Webpage:http://www.stadt-muenster.de/buergerservice/meldeangelegenheiten/melderegister-auskunft.html

Let me know if you need help. Good luck finding your dad!

Hi.

To add to Assanah's very helpful post, you can also use the Salvation Army Family Tracing Service.

I have used this service successfully to 'find' my brother - twice! - before he 'disappeared' again.

Good luck.
