Pet travel after crashing out day

Britain left the EU 31.01.20, but the transitional arrangements have meant businss as usual until 01.01.21.

However, I have to go back to the UK in February & my dog will likely need to come too.

Anyone seen or understood yet what on earth we need to do for both 1/ the outbound leg to Brexshitland and 2/ the return leg home to EU?

My vet didn't know when we were there for annual vaccs at the start of December.

Any reference help much appreciated.
Thanks.

If you have your regular EU pet passport up to date, a chipped dog, and evidence of the original Rabies antibody test, that should be sufficient.
You need to carry the original document with you. Also the worm treatment just prior to travel is still required as far as I can see.
The new rules and excessive paperwork apply more to people in the UK taking their dog abroad.

If you visit the eurotunnel.com site they always have pretty up to date info.

Good luck with trying to get into UK in Feb.!! I've written off any chance of visiting before July...

Hi Calman

Thanks for replying. Trust me, I wouldn't be going near the place unless I really really had to!

Thanks for the info. Got an update from FCO saying they had revised the pet travel section, but changes were clear as mud.

I'll check out Eurotunnel instead.

Well this seems clear to me when re entering the EU https://www.gov.uk/guidance/pet-trav...1-january-2021
It is the same as before except that you will need an animal health certificate in addition
Entry to Britain the same as before

Thanks, we've already booked up to get a new pet passport issued locally (DE) as rabies jab due in a couple of months.

The health certificate is not required if you brought your pet in from the EU in the first place. Only if it's a pet going abroad from UK residency.

===To enter or return to the EU from listed or unlisted countries you need either:
