What budget , what expectations ?
IF you like your hotels neat , clean , functional and cheap ( and accessible , by all sorts of transport )
then , I can thoroughly reccommend the IBIS Parkstadt Schwabing ( all the staff that matters speak English ,
I slept there plenty a night in the last 5-6-7 yrs , IF it is as old as that ...) ,
priced at Euro59 to Euro 89 per double/treble room , depending on which circus happens in town that very week ( football , elections or more important junk-exibitions...)
e-mail : [email protected] ;or try www.ibishotel.com ;
or : research other ones , nearby : Novotel , Suitehotel come to mind ; of course , once you're out ( by car , northerly ) from Muenich , e.g. towards Nuernberg , it gets better , in more ways than one ...
let's know , how you get on !

Re: Hotel in Munich?

Hi, just to thank you for your advice. I am in Prague at the moment. I went to the Ibis hotel in Munich in Germany and stayed one night. It was excellent for a basic no frills room. I imagine that $95 euro for two people was a bargain for that room. You couldn't swing a cat as the saying goes but it was clean, had a tv, modern and all the facilities we needed. The peole were exceptionally kind (I was ill after my flight). Thanks so much for your recommendation.

Re: Hotel in Munich?

You are welcome ;
Ibis hotels EUrope-wise are , usually : always compact rooms , functional , plenty hot water , reasonably-priced , v. good service ( for bigger rooms , use Novotel ! ) ;
No , I have no benefit in promoting them , I've just been a happy Client , since cca 1990 ; I'd still use hem , in France , Geramny , wherever , if/when I need to
( only in London , U.K. , they are really disappointing and senseless , but , what isn't in London , U.K. ? )
unless I can't get in , they normally never fail me ;
and they book you "on" free ;
so , enjoy your travels !
Let us know , how you get on...
