Travel to Paris from London - quarantine?
Hi All, I’m looking to travel to Paris
on the Eurostar on 14 Jun returning 18jun for a medical procedure. I understand I’ll need to quarantine in the UK as France is an Amber country but will I need to quarantine in Paris if it’s for a medical procedure and I have the necessary documents to prove it? Thanks for your help in advance

That's three weeks away! A lot can change in 3 weeks. France is keeping a careful watch on the progress of the "Indian" variant in the UK. Last week Germany imposed a fortnight's quarantine on all travellers from the UK and would like the rest of the EU to follow suit. Keep your fingers crossed and watch this space...

The PM/Health Minister will no doubt give a Press Conference before 9th June, when the curfew is programmed to begin at 23h00, and give updates on the present figures and other regulations. Other 9th June changes can be found in the other thread, but international travel regulations can change from one day to the next.
If the Covid figures increase between now and then, the OP should be prepared for his/her medical procedure to be postponed, if it isn't urgent...

Just announced - obligatory quarantine coming up for UK arrivals in Paris

Inevitable I think. Possibly partly political. But there you go.

The OP should make enquiries at the place where the medical procedure is scheduled to take place, and, if it hasn't been postponed, should consider arriving 10 days in advance and quarantining in a (probably designated) hotel.
Not a pleasant prospect....

Only two days after you announced that a lot can change in 3 weeks! It should be mentioned in the "Transiting through France..." thread...

Well, this Indian variant seems to have taken off big time in certain UK hotspots, and in the end no travel restrictions have been put in place to stop it spreading all over England, so it's likely that other countries will be "copying" that decision quite soon...

I think we will need to wait a little while to see how long the quarantine is likely to be and also whether if the person entering France from the UK has had both vaccinations will also be subject to these restrictions.
All in all Boris failing to close the border to India seems to have knock on effects. Dom where are you now ?

AFAIK, no details on the conditions of quarantine have been announced yet....
