Schools in southern France for non-bilingual kids!
We are currently contemplating a move to southern France (likely Condom area) but we have a hesitation due to schooling. My daughter is 8.5 so hopefully still young enough to pick up the language but ideally to help her settle I’d want somewhere that accommodates English speaking children. I’ve looked at Bordeaux and Toulouse but not sure if we want to do independent or state. Just wondered if anyone had any recommendations? I’ve heard Pietat mentioned but that was a forum dated a number of years ago.
Thanks!

Google is your friend.if you are "likely" to settle in Condom/. According to
https://ecolesprimaires.fr/32/condom/
there are 2 public primary (élémentaires) schools and 2 private ones. You could enquire whether any of them give extra tuition to foreign pupils. For public schools, the Mairie will enrol your daughter in the one nearest to your domicile.
OTOH your daughter is a good age to soak up the language and be well prepared for going up to Secondary school.... If she's outgoing, she'll soon make friends, which will help the process....
Is there a particular reason for considering Condom, esp. as you've been thinking of Bordeaux and Toulouse? This seems to indicate that you aren't coming with a salaried job lined up, which will lead to other issues (employment status which will govern healthcare coverage, etc....) which we can advise on.
Give us more info on your employment (even matrimonial) status, and meanwhile take a look in the Read-Me: Moving to France FAQs above for info on Schooling, the "Partner status" in France, if applicable, and other pertinent threads...
HTH, but I'm sure you needn't worry about your daughter!.
