Renting an Industrial Unit

Gooday,

Does anyone know a good source for finding industrial units for rent in Brittany? We have a small unit in S West UK and are thinking of opening one over the water ( small scale manufacturing and storage)

I'd start by investigating the costs, bureaucracy, regulations, and taxes for starting such an operation in France before worrying about finding premises.

Here's a website for you to check out https://www.geolocaux.com/location/e...SAAEgLV4_D_BwE
However as Pulaski has said, finding premises to rent will likely be the easy bit if this is your first time setting up in France.
Ireland would certainly be easier for you.

As said above, you cannot just start working in France without first registering your business in the correct form for the nature of the business.
Running a business in France can be a lot more expensive than running a business in the UK and your prices need to reflect these increased costs.
You need to do your homework about creating a business in France before you look for premises.
Good luck

You need to be prepared for a struggle. Will it be worthwhile in the end? Do more research before thinking about premises.

The family are keen on France more so than Ireland so we will keep exploring this option.
I have found an industrial building for sale that would meet my needs. I guess I would have to check what acceptable businesses could be run from it.

Lots of work and reading to do

Please set up your business in France before you buy anything.
You would be better to rent somewhere initially.
Several years ago an Englishman bought a pub in France but was unable to re-open it and was unable to resell the building.
Property/premises can take a long time to sell in France and estate agents love to get Brit purchasers to buy properties which French people wont buy.
