Default Privat Health Cover before PUMA

I found this very interesting web site/ins company 'April International' after someone's recommendation here. Long-Term International Health Plan

I did an online quote thing and got the best price yet for items as below - 9 months cover for only 2000 euro.

Does it look about right/kosher, and a plan that would be acceptable for my PUMA application after the residency requirement period?

Pays de destination :
France
Date d'effet du contrat :
28/02/2017
Durée du séjour :
9 mois
Pays de nationalité :
Royaume-Uni
Votre date de naissance :
xx/x/xxxx

Je souhaite une couverture complète pendant mon séjour (frais de santé en cas de maladie ou accident, assistance rapatriement, assistance juridique, responsabilité civile, individuelle accident, assurance bagages, soutien psychologique).

https://www.google.fr/#q=april+inter...6580f6620d83,1,
Not everybody is happy.
But on paper it looks good and it might do the trick.
It does exclude pre-existing conditions, however, so strictly speaking it is not the equivalent of French state healthcover. No idea if this would be an issue or not if you don't have any pre-existing conditions.
It's clearly designed for people who are living abroad temporarily and have not moved permanently but I can't see in the wording how they would trip you up on this, so presumably France couldn't make an issue of it either. But look carefully before you take it out.

Thanks Eurotrash.

Reviews are a bit harsh, and although my main aim is to satisfy PUMA application, I wouldn't want to be ripped of neither.

Any hints on similarly nicely-priced companies anyone?

Really, is that more important than being easy in your mind that you will be able to access treatment should you need it?

It does seem remarkably cheap to me, I doubt you'll find cheaper, which is why I would read the small print very carefully.

Let's say it's a delicate (and perhaps difficult) balance. But both are important.

Is that 2k for the highest level of cover? If so, if it genuinely does cover the full cost of all medical treatment, which at first glance it appears to be saying, why would you bother applying for PUMA - at 2k for 9 months it is likely going to work out cheaper than PUMA contributions plus full top up insurance. Unless of course you have pre-existing conditions.
Either I've misread it, or there must be a catch.

The catch probably comes if and when you actually try to claim something...

Eyes on PUMA, though....
