Prime de naissance while on the NHS
Hi, I am planning to give birth in France but am still linked to the NSH and National Insurance. Do you know if I will also get the famous 'prime de naissance'? Does the NHS will pay for it via the French 'Securite Sociale'?
Please help!

says EU citizens are entitled to the same allowances as the French, provided they comply with the conditions listed. If these conditions are met with, the "prime de naissance" starts to be paid during the pregnancy, provided the future mother undergoes all the compulsory visits and tests.
You don't say when you're due, but you should go to your French G.P. ASAP to confirm the pregnancy, then take the papers to your local CPAM and sort it out with them face to face. (Followed by a visit to your local CAF)
If you give us more info about your residential status, how long you've been here, in which form you earn your living (auto-entrepreneur?...), reason for not having a Carte Vitale, etc..., we'll maybe be able to help more.
