If you live in Portugal, don't they issue the EU certificate with the QR code? That's what the French pass sanitaire is.

Update on the Pass Sanitaire:
Prés. Macron announced yesterday evening that the over 65s and "vulnerable" must have the 3rd vaccination before 15th December 2021, for their present Pass Sanitaire to remain valid. I'll check whether those without a suitable Smartphone, who haven't received the paper EU Certificate from the CPAM, will still be allowed into restaurants, trains, etc.... after that date. Hopefully the paper Certificate issued after the vaccination will be sufficient....
I was intending to do my 3rd in December anyway (6 months after the 2nd), but it's too early to get a RV at the local Centre or a local pharmacie which is now listed on Doctolib.
(The Président also urged all those who haven't been vaccinated at all, to do so, but that goes without saying).

Isn't it more a case of, after 15 December everybody must have the 3rd vaccination within a certain timeframe of the 2nd vaccination in order for their pass to remain valid.
If they didn't have 2nd second jab until say August, their 3rd jab won't be due until January at the earliest.

I didn't understand that to be the case for everybody on watching his briefing. Only that the over 65's and those who are particularly vunerable will lose validity of their pass sanitaire from the 15th Dec if they don't have the 3rd 'booster' shot.Link summary HERE.

Ref your second comment, in that case wouldn't the validity of their pass sanitaire kick off again as soon as the 3rd jab is completed?
I must agree though it's far from crystal clear.

Well yes but it would be unfair to invalidate their pass in the first place wouldn't it? Being stranded without a valid pass from Dec 15th until whatever date you can get your booster, is going to leave them in limbo over Christmas for no reason whatsoever.
If a person was due their booster before 15th Dec and didn't get it, hence they are wandering round with waning immunity, then that is a different kettle of fish.
I take to mean that on 15th Dec, a computer process will be implemented that will cause passes to expire 6 months and 5 weeks (which seems funny way of saying it) after the date of the second jab if no booster has been recorded..

Mine's actually due on 21st December, if you go by calender months, but I'll try to get a RV before the 15th and hope to get the paper EU Certificate before travelling by train over Christmas. But, at worst, I'll have the paper Certificat issued by the Vaccination Centre to present with my present Pass....
If I'd known, I would have overcome my resistance and had the first two right from the beginning and would have already had the third, before Macron's announcement....

Update: I had my 3rd dose this morning, in and out within 10 minutes. Since I'm not on anti-coagulants and didn't have a reaction to the first two, I didn't have to hang around for 15 minutes, and, as a bonus, instead of giving me a simple Attestation, they issued me with a proper EU Certificate, which saves me asking the CPAM for it.
Funnily enough, when I got home, I found a mail from Ameli reminding me to make an appointment for the 3rd dose.

A new trainee starting working with a family member, and on her first day told her colleagues that she was unvaccinated and simply used her friend's pass sanitaire to socialise. I always suspected a lot of people do this - not the sort of thing you tell people you don't know though; I believe they bit their tongue but didn't approve.
I heard it all a few days ago when a friend of the wife told her that their friend had paid their doctor 300 euros under the counter, and got registered as having the two shots when they'd had none.

I too received yesterday a reminder email from Ameli to get the 3rd jab, which I'd already had a week ago and assumed that the central dat base would have been updated within a day (or two max), as the pharmacien entered all relevant details into her terminal within minutes of giving us the 3rd jab and issuing the updated EU certificate pass.

An earlier post said that you need the pass to get into hospitals. In the last 3 months I have had one routine and one emergency visit to my médicin traitaint, 5 visits to one clinique and one visit to another hospital/clinique. I have not been asked for my pass for any of these.
I went to a bar earlier this evening with a friend - 4th Wednesday in a row that we have gone there - and each time the owner scanned our passes.

Weird about the hospital not asking for it!

But same here, re restos, one of our fave local restos apologises each time they ask for the pass, knowing we have it. She said she is obligated to do this each time She showed me the app, and there is a 'statistics' function that logs each time it is checked that day. Its anonymous (apparently) but the police can simply look at the stats, look at the numbers seated, and make an estimate of whether all have been checked. I very much doubt that local police would go that far, but she doesn't want to risk a fine. We therefore have no problems producing it again (or at any time)

However about half the bars/restos haven't asked for it. Lets see what happens after the 15th!
