Question Paperwork required when selling motorcycle in France

Hello Everyone,

I’m looking for advice on what paperwork need to be completed when selling an already french registered motorcycle in France.
My husband has passed away and I now have to sell his bike. A friend wants to buy it here is France but we don’t know how to proceed with paperwork. I have the ownership document from when the bike was registered in France (was from UK) back in 2010.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

This gives you an overview of what is required. You should have got a certificate from the notaire who dealt with your husbands affairs and you should use this to re register it in your name and then you can sell it .The service public link encourages you to do it all on line however I would strongly recommend that you visit somewhere like Cartaplac Feu Vert or a garage that advertises "Carte Grise Agree" so you can talk to someone face to face .
