Neurologists Lyon

Is there anyone on here that knows of english speaking Neurologists in any of the hospitals in Lyon? I know it's a long shot but thought I would ask.

Sorry, can't help personally, but if you don't get any response, look in the Pages Jaunes or google "neurologues Lyon". You'll get a list of them all, and their receptionists will tell you if they speak English (at the same time, ask whether they are "conventionnés", in order to avoid a shock when they ask for their fees.) Was there a particular reason for wanting a hospital-based one? If so, then look for "Service Neurologie Consultations" in the Centres Hospitaliers de Lyon.
Hope this helps, and good luck!:)

Well, I was using a Neurologist locally, but need a second opinion, and thought Lyon (being a huge city), and the fact they have Neurological hospitals may help! I know some of our neighbours use the local hospital, some use Lyon. I also want to use our Carte Vitale, so wasn't keen on private.

I believe that you get reimbursed what the S.S. normally reimburses for specialists, so your Carte Vitale can be used (or if, like some specialists, they haven't got the machine, they give you the Feuille de Soins), but if they aren't conventionnés and charge what they like, the Mutuelle won't necessarily reimburse it all. It depends on your Mutuelle.

Many thanks....that's why i was trying to find a public hospital, but never looks that straight forward, and didn't just want to see anyone. I understand that I can see anyone providing I have copies of results etc? My GP won't need to re-refer me to a different Neurologue for a second opinion?

Sorry, no idea, but if you show the results of an earlier consultation, I imagine you wouldn't need a second referral. To be sure, ask the receptionist when you make an appointment....
