Get somewhere detached preferably with a bit of space between you and the neighbours it does wonders for ones sanity.

Will try in the future CS, we had 2+ years here of noisy nutty neighbours too.
We will look for a house to rent next year, as far from neighbours as poss. I have no interest in buying in France now unless I win the loto.
