looking at properties
Hi folks
Popping over to Normandy to look at some houses in July.
Anyone have any hints /tips for what to look out for etc.
Obviously get a feeling for the area and condition of the property etc, but
anything else?
Many thanks

Can't remember if it's for a holiday home or permanent, but either way you might want to check the property taxes because these vary tremendously from one commune to another. Possibly more of a factor for a holiday home because if you're not tax resident you get no reductions.

Lovely scenery and topography but if you're looking for a better climate then Normandy a'int it !
Even as far down as The Lot the crap weather did for us and was a significant factor in our decision to move to Spain.
Yes it's bloody hot in the height of Summer and it's in the mid 30's already but we can afford to turn the air conditioning on !
