Default "Living-in-France" UK Gov. info

Just come across this link, updated 25th June 2021, which covers all aspects of living in France, not just driving licences. Thanks to Helen1964 for mentioning the site.
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/living-i...ving-in-france
Maybe it could go in the FAQs section, and updated as and when? It could be referred to, and would avoid repeating info....
It's from an official UK source, but it would be advisable to confirm with updated official French sites....
(The link confirms that, contrary to what the Guardian, Connexion, The Local, etc... have hinted, the deadline for applying for the Residency Permit is "before 1st July 2021".)

The deadline for applying has been moved to September 30th, 2021

The only French official source I could find for the moment is here but it states the 1st of October 2021
https://www.cotes-darmor.gouv.fr/Act...s-britanniques

And here

They both say the same thing - you need to submit an application by 1 July 2021 as you need to hold your residence permit no later than 1 October.

I was surprized to read that the Côtes d'Armor Préfecture has announced this, but the second site indicates that all British citizens, however long they've been in France, must hold a titre de séjour from 1st October 2021. Those who were here before 1st January 2021 must apply for it "before 1st July".
Whatever, the Titre de Séjour question will no longer be topical in the weeks to come....
P.S. Just read the Côtes d'Armor site, which also says that "ils devront faire la demande" (apply for it) before 1st July 2021, and "détenir" (hold) it by 1st October 2021. Post crossed with BritinParis...

As I understand it, the intention is to extend and apparently there's not much doubt that they will, but it can't be officially announced by préfectures or anyone else until the statute book has been officially amended. Préfectures can't change the law so if the law still says 31 July, everybody has to wait until the law has been modified before they can update their websites.

And here we go:
https://www.service-public.fr/partic...sdroits/F35032

"Ce service en ligne est ouvert jusqu'au 30 septembre 2021.
Il permet l'enregistrement des demandes qui n'ont pas pu l'être dans les délais impartis (1er juillet 2021)."

I see they haven't changed the obligation to hold the CdS by 1st October so in fact it seems it's not an extension as such, more a concession that some people have failed to apply by the deadline and need to be given a second chance, but they have still missed the deadline.

Nice spot. Be interesting to know what the processing times are like.
