Is there anyone out there living around the Arnac Pompadour area? We have visited Correze department and are very impressed with the scenery but would like to know what life there is like. A very wide question I know, but if anyone can give info. on social life, climate etc. etc. I would be very grateful. We are currently renting for 12 months in Deux Sevres and taking time to explore in Poitou Charente, Limousin and the Dordogne. We are a retired couple who have lived in southern Spain for nearly nine years but are now looking for a more comfortable climate and greener surroundings. The other half is a golfer and I enjoy various craft work and we both love the outdoors and wildlife. Hoping someone will be willing to make contact. Best wishes, Barbara

Hi Barbara - in view of the lack of response here, you might want to look at a couple of other forums. Specifically, Snip which deals with the Limousin, and is hosted by a very friendly and helpful bunch of people. Also snip might be worth a go: again, very friendly and helpful.

We are intending to move to the Correze in about 12 months time - it is our very favourite part of France - but until then I can't be much use to you!
