sort of, it's inside a big market hall - more like a jumble sale/flea market in UK I guess.
Can get anything from old tires to antiques. The vide greniers are best - loosely translated means empty your attics:eek: I just love the fact you never know what can turn up and there is usually a great atmosphere there, lots of food, etc.

Sundays are a bit dead too - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

We've got vide greniers here too but they're just junk most of the time. What beats me is what they charge for this stuff. So much so that I'm now collecting things that I would normally throw out and I'm going to have my own stall in my village later in the year - should make a fortune!!

oooh, those pork chops in baguette - how can you not buy:rofl:
I actually got the dates wrong - good job I checked before I set off, would have felt a real idiot arriving at Molay-Littry yesterday only to find it's next week:eek: There was a great one at Lisieux though, over 100 stalls and I got another clock:thumbsup: I'm addicted to art deco one's and thought this was lovely. Now, all I have to do is convince OH we really needed another one:unsure:

Not a vide grenier exactly, but The Boss and I took a road trip up into the Mayenne yesterday to buy two small woodburning fires. Both in great nick and about to get new leases of life chez nous!

The thing is that where we bought them from was like a vide grenier. A huge barn filled with allsorts that this lady was selling. There was more than enough 'stuff' there to fill 10 stalls!

for those less cultured:rofl:
they are garnitures and don't have space to hold anything, not even a tooth pick:lol:
I think it's really sad, these lovely old pieces can be picked up for around 10-15 euros, and they all work. The diamond shape one's are my favourite too. OH reckons the floor upstairs is going to collapse under the weight of them all:rofl: the kids just think I'm mad:eek:
